John H. Heide

John Heide retired from the practice of law at the end of 2024. As the founder of Everson's family law group, John built it into a well-known and highly respected presence in northeastern Wisconsin.  John had decades of experience representing clients in complex family law matters. He held board certification in Family Law Trial Advocacy from the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Until the date of his retirement he had been rated a Super Lawyer every year since 2005 and had been named one of the Top 50 Wisconsin Lawyers since 2018.

 

John is a native of northeastern Wisconsin. He graduated from Silver Lake College with a Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude in Business Management in 1985. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School in 1987. He also instructed for Silver Lake College in business law.

 

John is also a private pilot and a member of EAA. He has logged time in the following aircraft: C-172, C-177, T-6 Texan, L-39 Aero Vodochody, and PA-28.

 

John remains connected to the firm he helped to grow.  When he visits we enjoy his wisdom, humor, and, especially, his homemade cookies.
